Sophia Kelsall

Bassist Sophia Kelsall is excited to join Rehearsing Philadelphia this year. A Philadelphia native, she was nurtured and supported by the city’s public school music programs in the formative years of her bass playing journey. Sophia is a recent graduate of the Peabody Conservatory, where she studied with Paul Johnson and Jefferey Weisner. She has also taught young double bassists as an associate faculty member at Bass Works and has served as an electric bass instructor at Girls Rock Philly. Sophia looks forward to enriching Philadelphia’s art scene as well as her own musical pallette.
