Flute player and composer Redi Fernandez was born in Havana, Cuba, and resides in Philadelphia. He has played with renowned Cuban and international musicians including Esperanza Spalding, Marcus Miller, Wynton Marsalis, and The Lincoln Jazz Orchestra, Arturo O’Farrill, Jane Bunnett, Yasek Manzano, The Buena Vista Social Club, and Bobby Carcassés. Redi has performed in Havana, London, Stockholm, and Barcelona. In New York City, Redi has played at Zinc Bar, Silvana, Smalls, Red Room, Fat Cat and more. A graduate of the prestigious Institute of Superior Art in Cuba.
