Soprano Dalia Medovnikov, from New Haven, Conn., entered the Curtis Institute of Music in 2019. She is the Arthur and Hilda Stander Fellow. In 2019 she performed in a concert of Mozart opera scenes under the baton of Maestro Yannick Nizet-Seguin. She performed Bach cantatas with Curtis Chamber Program and sang the Shostakovich cycle “From Jewish Folk Poetry '' in concert at Curtis. During the 2020-21 school year, her engagements included an opera scenes recital where she performed as Susanna from Le Nozze Di Figaro, as well as partaking in concerts of Czech and Korean operatic repertoire.
