Born and raised in London, Anthony Tidd is a Grammy award winning Philly/Harlem based musician, composer, producer, educator and curator who has worked with many celebrated names over the last 20 years, including the Roots, Steve Coleman, Greg Osby, Wayne Krantz, Talib Kweli, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Meshell Ndegeocello, Jill Scott, David Byrne, and many others. He has written and recorded works, for everything from small ensembles, to big bands and full orchestras. He has also produced songs and albums for The Roots, Macy Gray, Zap Mama, Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Pink, Jill Scott, Ursula Rucker, and many others. His latest projects include scores for film and audiobooks, including Jay Z’s Paramount/BET docuseries, Rest in Power – The Trayvon Martin Story, and Audible’s Words and Music series, Seven Years, by Tariq Trotter of The Roots.
